Physical Security Engineer

The Physical Security Engineer will work with the Physical Security and Cabling teams to install and implement door access, video surveillance, intercoms, etc. The position requires building customer-focused relationships, identifying business challenges, and maintaining a high standard of quality and providing a positive customer experience.

Requirements

• Pulling and installing new Cat 5E/ Cat 6 cable
• Pulling and installing new composite cable for door access
• Climbing up and down ladders at varies heights
• Installing cable pathways and raceways
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including utilizing proper PPE, safe use of tools and machinery, and always adhering to safety standards and regulations
• Install proper cable sleeves and chases
• Take direction from Lead Technician
• Learn basics between different types of cabling
• Terminate Cat 5E/ Cat 6 cable properly
• Installing door access hardware (card readers, REX, strikes, door contacts)
• Wiring and installing door access panels
• Mounting and aiming surveillance cameras
• Work as a member of the HBS Physical Security Team that provides consultative and proactive project management support to HBS’s account base
• Attend and participate in weekly team calls as directed by the Team Lead
• Ability to work in a team atmosphere as both a leader and contributor as assigned. At all times maintaining a professional and respectful demeanor
