Job Description
Heartland Mutual Insurance is seeking a Team Lead, Pricing & Data Analytics to join their team in Waterloo, ON, Canada. The successful candidate will develop the team's talent base, strategically plan and lead the team, and perform rate reviews and data analysis using actuarial principles and advanced techniques. The ideal candidate will have a university degree in Computer Science, Mathematics/Statistics, or Actuarial, and a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a data analysis role.
Requirements
- University degree (Computer Science, Mathematics/Statistics or Actuarial) is preferred or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive, relevant experience in a data analysis role
- High Proficiency with SAS, SQL, and Excel
- A good understanding of P&C pricing and ratemaking concepts
- Demonstrated strength in oral, written and presentation communication skills
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Prior management experience is preferred
- A working knowledge of Emblem would be an asset
