Senior Design Manager - Utilities and Energy

This role will project manage the integrated solution development, ensuring that all options are deliverable, high quality, fully coordinated across multiple work packages, and aligned with stakeholder expectations.

Requirements

• Collaborate with the Programme Leader – Design Delivery to support the effective execution of responsibilities and ensure successful delivery of assigned projects.
• Support the procurement and contract management of Design & Engineering suppliers, ensuring strong performance and coordinated delivery across work packages.
• Lead the delivery of design and engineering outputs for one or more tranches, ensuring alignment with programme objectives, performance measures, and all relevant requirements.
• Identify and manage risks and opportunities throughout the gateway lifecycle, leading optioneering and integrated solution development and securing stakeholder review and acceptance.
• Oversee the production of DCO and tranche documentation, including environmental impact assessments, while ensuring quality, safety, inclusive design, and sustainable engineering practices.
• Drive continuous improvement by capturing best practice and supporting team capability development and succession planning.
