Job Description
Hebrew Public is seeking a driven Elementary Special Education Teacher to deliver engaging, standards-based instruction and utilize Responsive Classroom techniques. The role involves collaborating with colleagues to refine teaching practices and supporting student progress. The teacher will work with students with IEPs in reading, mathematics, and writing, and will be responsible for maintaining accurate records and reporting student progress. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to all students, a commitment to professional growth, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required
- K-12 lead teaching experience in a classroom setting is a plus
- Experience in urban, public charter, or Title I schools is a plus
- Hold NY teacher certification or working towards certification is a plus
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Legally authorized to work in the USA
