Industrial Maintenance Technician

Heidtman Steel Products, Inc is searching for an Industrial Maintenance Technician for our Erie, MI facility. Maintenance personnel are responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative and predictive maintenance on all our slitting line, tube mills, overhead cranes and forklifts, as well as general building maintenance.

Requirements

• INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
• Experience working on, troubleshooting and installing 120V/208V, 277V and 480V 3 Phase electrical systems.
• Comfortable working on and troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical equipment.
• Strong ability to interpret drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
• Ability to weld and fabricate as needed.
• Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills.
• Heavy industrial manufacturing experience and be computer literate.
• Ability to trouble-shoot Variable Frequency Drives.
• PLC troubleshooting.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Provide basic tools/tool box.
• Comfortable using a Multi-Volt Meter.
• General Building Maintenance and industrial plumbing.
• Ability and experience operating a variety of standard hand and power tools.
• High school diploma or GED required.
