Job Description
Extrusion Technician is responsible for overseeing the running of extruders, setting dies, completing documentation, and maintaining process parameters to ensure the manufacturing of quality products.
Requirements
- Understand and follow all work instructions to set up, start, and put into production any and all extruded products
- Ensure that all process parameters are maintained within the specification limits
- Assist in training Extrusion Operators on the shift
- Understand and perform all aspects of tooling setups, cleaning of tools, and storage of tools
- Follow all instructions to maintain inventory control and cycle counts
- Have good communication with the punch department
- Maintain a safe and clean work area
- Communicate all quality and/or process issues to the Extrusion Manager, the Extrusion Technician Lead, and other necessary support departments
