This is a Case Manager position at HELP USA's emergency shelter for asylum-seeking single adults in the Bronx, New York. The Case Manager will provide culturally sensitive, trauma-informed intake and assessment for clients and track their progress in the CARES case management system, while coordinating for and providing service linkages to various services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field, or equivalent skills and experience.
- Bilingual fluency in a second language, ideally Spanish/English.
- Case management experience working with vulnerable people who have experienced significant trauma.
- Crisis intervention experience.
- Basic understanding of immigration laws and procedures.
- Great organizational skills and the ability to learn quickly and problem-solve under pressure.
- Strong computer skills required, with knowledge of CARES a plus.
