Principal Information Systems Analyst - Data Analytics Specialization

The Data & Analytics Unit is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting healthcare data to support decision-making across the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services (DHS). The unit manages patient care and operational data, using analytics to identify patterns, predict outcomes, and improve service delivery.

Requirements

• Establishes and maintains data governance standards related to data elements, business rules, metadata, and reporting logic used across analytical and reporting environments.
• Deliver data governance guidelines, policies, and operational procedures to support data-driven initiatives.
• Analyze departmental services and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency and data utilization.
• Communicate complex data analytics concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders to support informed decision-making.
