Job Description
Hendrick Motorsports is seeking a CNC Machinist / Sr. Programmer to create and revise programs for CNC machinery, with a focus on precision and attention to detail. The role requires a high level of technical expertise and strong communication skills to effectively work with the team and meet quality standards.
Requirements
- Read, interpret, and program CNC machines with data from technical drawings or specifications
- Create or modify 5-axis CNC programs for production runs
- Measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications
- Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces on machines
- Adjust machine feed and speed, change cutting tools, or adjust machine controls when automatic programming is faulty or if machines malfunction
- Clean machines, tooling, or parts using solvents or solutions and rags
- Calculate dimensions and tolerance using knowledge of mathematics and instruments
- Inspect produced components or parts to ensure quality and accuracy
