Data Engineer (m/f/d)

As a Data Engineer with a focus on AI and Snowflake, you will design, implement, and operate data products that enable advanced analytics and AI-driven use cases across Heraeus. You will work closely with business stakeholders, data scientists, and AI engineers to translate business needs into scalable, high-quality data products on Snowflake.

Requirements

• Design, develop, and implement data products on Snowflake, from concept to production
• Build and operate scalable Snowflake-based data pipelines for analytics and AI use cases
• Develop and optimize data models and transformations using SQL, Snowflake features, and ELT frameworks
• Act as a consulting partner for business units, translating business and analytical requirements into data product designs
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data scientists, and AI engineers across domains
• Ensure data quality, performance, security, and compliance in line with governance standards
• Support the full lifecycle of data products, including monitoring, optimization, and continuous improvement
• Contribute to data architecture standards, best practices, and documentation
• Experience in consultative roles with close interaction with business stakeholders
• Experience in Project Management
• Ability to structure requirements and communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
• Structured, ownership-driven, and solution-oriented working style
• Very good English skills, German is an advantage
