Job Description
The Steel Processing/Slitting Machine or Steel Leveling Line Operator is responsible for deriving information from production work orders and applying that information to complete various tasks relating to the preparation and processing of flat-rolled steel coils.
Requirements
- Interprets order specification/special instructions and ensures all production materials are at machines prior to set-up
- Operates slitting line / cut to length line in a safe and efficient manner within the parameters of machine’s operating specifications
- Records and reports all finished production
- Assists and supports other team members in problem solving, meeting department goals, and adherence to the company’s ongoing safety initiative
