ASSISTANT HAIRDRESSER

Pavilion Entertainment is seeking an Assistant Hairdresser to join their team in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and maintaining hair workstations, assisting with the purchase of supplies, and providing hair services to performers. The role requires strong hairdressing skills, creativity, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Certification/ license in Cosmetology or at least 4 years’ related experience
• Strong hairdressing skills including: cutting, waving, straightening, colouring, perming, setting, applying extensions, braiding, shaving
• Familiarity with period hairstyles and contemporary looks
• Experience in altering, setting, dressing, and applying wigs and hairpieces
• Keen eye for detail to assist with continuity
• Ability to accept direction and constructive criticism
• Physical fitness to cope with many hours of standing or bending over Actors
• Flexibility and creative problem solving skills
• Some foreign language skills for foreign shoots preferable
• Knowledge of relevant Health and Safety laws and procedures, especially when dealing with different substances, materials, and scalp reactions.
