Job Description
Hermeus is a high-speed aircraft manufacturer focused on the rapid design, build, and test of high-Mach and hypersonic aircraft. Working directly with the Department of Defense, Hermeus delivers capabilities that will ensure that our nation, and our allies, maintain an asymmetric advantage over any and all potential adversaries.
Requirements
- Structural design supporting vehicle subsystems such as hydraulics, fuel systems, propulsion, and avionics
- Perform structural and thermal analyses using both hand calculations and FEA
- Lead trade studies across mechanical, fluid, and avionics subsystems with an emphasis on mass efficiency, cost, and performance
- Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, and test teams to ensure designs are practical, producible, and aligned with program objectives
- Own hardware development from concept through design, fabrication, integration, and test
- Present technical content in internal reviews and represent the team in cross-functional and supplier/customer design reviews
