Job Description
Hermeus is a high-speed aircraft manufacturer focused on the rapid design, build, and test of hypersonic aircraft. They are seeking a Welding Manufacturing Engineer to work on welded aircraft structures, tanks, and propulsion assemblies, collaborating with design and manufacturing teams to bring complex systems to reality. The role involves developing weld processes, fixtures, and joint designs.
Requirements
- Develop, qualify, and optimize weld processes and parameters.
- Support R&D and production builds of welded aircraft.
- Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Plan and execute weld qualification campaigns.
- Implement process control improvements using feedback.
- Research emerging welding technologies.
- Collaborate with tooling, automation, and integration teams.
- Basic Qualification - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
