Job Description
Heron Data is looking for a Principal Backend Engineer to lead the scaling of their document automation and workflow orchestration platform. The successful candidate will have a strong CS foundation, recent production experience with Python and cloud infrastructure, and experience with sensitive data at volume. They will work directly with the CTO and Head of Engineering to design and implement the core abstractions that will support the next phase of growth. The role is a hands-on, high-autonomy IC position that requires the ability to take a system from early stage to serious scale.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building and scaling backend systems
- Strong CS foundation
- Recent production experience with Python and cloud infrastructure
- Experience with sensitive data at volume
- Ability to take a system from early stage to serious scale
