The role involves conducting comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnosing and treating mental illnesses, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.
Requirements
- Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or PA-Certified
- Texas state license
- Experience with mental health assessment, diagnosis, triage, managing common psychiatric medication and treatment plans, and managing crisis situations in an outpatient setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of utilization management principles
- In-depth knowledge of psychiatric disorders and treatment modalities
- Excellent diagnostic skills and ability to develop effective treatment plans
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate, timely record
