VP of Software Engineering

Hilo by Aktiia is a venture-backed scale-up company developing technology to help people control their blood pressure. The VP of Software Engineering is responsible for all software, data, and infrastructure components across Hilo, building and maintaining a world-class, scalable, and secure software platform that enables Hilo to grow across markets efficiently.

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience in software engineering for subscription-based, data-heavy, or app-first businesses
• Track record of building or scaling strong, reliable software and data platforms in high-growth or multi-market environments
• Experience with multilingual, multi-region infrastructures and managing diverse tech stacks
• Deep expertise in cloud architectures, data systems, mobile platforms, and system integrations
• Strong understanding of AI applications, data operations, and automation frameworks
• Strategic, KPI-driven, inspiring leader able to collaboratively define pragmatic, clear goals and hold teams accountable
• Previous experience operating in a regulated market is highly valued
