Job Description
Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi is seeking an Executive Sous Chef to assist the Director of Culinary in the supervision of the culinary operation and to build the reputation of the resort outlets. The Executive Sous Chef will be responsible for maintaining a talented and creative Kitchen team, creating menus and concepts, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and guest satisfaction.
Requirements
- Certificate in a Culinary related field
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in the culinary industry (resort or a free-standing restaurant) in a similar position, preferably in a reputable establishment or celebrity chef restaurant.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to operate and successfully arbitrate in a complex international and multicultural environment.
- Excellent Team Member relations and problem-solving skills.
- Able to handle a kitchen operation catering in fast phase
- Good planning and execution skills with ability to be persistent while focusing on detailed elements of tasks.
- Excellent time management, organizational, communication and motivational skills.
- Have impeccable follow-through.
