Job Description
Hims & Hers is a health and wellness platform that offers personalized care and treatment options. We are seeking a Compounding Pharmacist to oversee and grow compounding capabilities, and act as a subject matter expert on compounded treatments.
Requirements
- Perform and accurately document compounding procedures, quality assurance/quality control checks, and dispensing of compounded preparations
- Train and evaluate compounding personnel
- Review and approve materials for use in compounding
- Oversee use of equipment to compound prescription orders and monitor the compounding environment
- Work closely with R&D teams on the development and scale-up of new compounded formulations
- Follow all safety, USP, BOP, and internal guidelines for the preparation of compounded medications
- Maintain a safety-first mindset and ensure precautions are taken in all compounding activities within the lab
- Perform pharmacist related activities such as patient consultation and error documentation
- Coordinate with the Pharmacist-in-charge (PIC) for personnel, compliance and regulatory matters
- Develop and evaluate standard operating procedures for the compounding lab and formulations
