We are looking for an Accounting Manager to take full ownership of the accounting function at a Dallas-based insurance brokerage. The ideal candidate has strong accounting fundamentals, insurance brokerage or financial services experience, and the ability to work independently without constant direction.
Requirements
- 5+ years of accounting, controllership, senior bookkeeping, or accounting management experience
- Insurance brokerage, insurance agency, or insurance accounting experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and experience supporting US-based businesses
- Strong reconciliation experience with the ability to own accounting workflows from start to finish
- Comfortable learning accounting systems, agency management systems, or other industry-specific platforms
- Strong Excel and Google Sheets skills
- Clear written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to work US Central Time business hours
- High attention to detail, strong follow-through, and the ability to work independently
- Trustworthy and reliable with sensitive financial information
