We're looking for an Accountant to manage day-to-day bookkeeping, financial reporting, and compliance for our Australian client base.
Requirements
- 2-4+ years of practical accounting experience in an Australian practice environment
- Strong knowledge of Australian tax legislation, BAS requirements, and superannuation regulations
- Proficiency in Xero and MYOB (experience with QuickBooks advantageous)
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client portfolios with varying complexity and deadlines
- Strong attention to detail with ability to identify discrepancies and reconciliation issues
- Experience preparing financial statements, management reports, and cashflow forecasts
- Excellent written English communication skills for client correspondence and report preparation
- Self-motivated work approach with ability to prioritise tasks across multiple clients without constant supervision
- Experience working remotely with strong organisational and time management capabilities
- Comfortable with month-end and quarter-end deadline pressure
- Proactive communicator who escalates issues early and presents solutions
