Principal Engineer

Ezra Climate is a venture-backed startup building solutions at the intersection of sustainable finance and artificial intelligence. We're seeking a highly experienced Principal Engineer to play a critical role in architecting our platform, leading our coding efforts with hands on the code, and providing technical mentoring to our growing engineering team.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in full-stack web development with at least 3+ years focussed on AI/ML engineering
• Proven track record of architecting complex systems and writing high-quality code
• Extensive experience integrating AI/ML services via APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Braintrust, LlamaIndex, etc.)
• Deep understanding of large language model APIs, prompt engineering, and LLM workflow design
• Fluency with modern web stacks and frameworks (React, Next, Node, Supabase, Vercel, Python)
• Strong system design and architecture skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts to others
• Experience in mentoring and developing engineering talent
