Job Description
Workers Compensation Defense Attorney job opening with a direct hire opportunity. Seeking a seasoned attorney to represent employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators in workers compensation matters before the California Workers Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB).
Requirements
- Represent employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators in workers compensation defense matters before the WCAB
- Manage a full caseload of workers compensation claims from intake through resolution
- Attend hearings, conferences, and trials before workers compensation judges
- Take and defend depositions, including medical depositions when applicable
- Draft legal pleadings, motions, and other filings related to workers compensation disputes
- Negotiate settlements and develop strategies to resolve claims efficiently
- Conduct legal research related to California workers compensation statutes, regulations, and case law
- Maintain regular communication with adjusters and clients regarding case status and legal strategy
