Job Description
Hirzel Canning Company is seeking a Licensed Boiler Operator to assist the Maintenance Manager in performing maintenance and repairs to ensure safe and quality operations. The ideal candidate will have an Ohio High Pressure Boiler License, hands-on experience, and knowledge of boiler operations and repairs.
Requirements
- Pipe fitting
- Metal fabrication skills including MIG, TIG and Stick welding, torch operation, grinding and fitting.
- Mechanical skills, including bearing and seal replacement
- Ability to read and interpret manuals and blueprints
- Troubleshooting skills
- Responsible for air compressor maintenance
- Responsible for pump maintenance and rebuilding
- Provide assistance to Maintenance Manager as directed
- Responsible for sewer system preventive maintenance and daily monitoring
- Follow all safety rules, guidelines and General Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Maintain a safe, clean work area
- Remain alert and observant of unsafe work areas, unsafe working conditions and/or unsafe employees and report these conditions immediately to the Plant Manager.
