Data Engineering Application Engineer

The Data Engineering Application Engineer will contribute to Hitachi Energy’s Network Control projects abroad, handling customer data, implementing technical solutions, and developing database and graphical user interfaces. The role requires independence, proactive working, and a willingness to take responsibility. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or a comparable technical understanding, and fluency in English. Additional language skills, such as German or French, are a plus.

Requirements

• Successfully completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, electrical power engineering or comparable technical understanding of SCADA solutions, database engineering and Network Control products
• English fluently spoken and written
• German or French fluently spoken and written is a plus, but not a must
• Independent and proactive way of working as well as willingness to take responsibility
• Communication skills combined with high customer orientation
• Interest in international and cross-cultural cooperation and willingness to travel worldwide
• General willingness for temporary assignments in our global partner units (e.g. in the context of a time-limited exchange of up to half a year) desired
