Senior Information Technology Manager (System Modernisation)

The Senior Information Technology Manager (System Modernisation) is responsible for the phased modernisation of the legacy Student Information System (SIS) and related applications, focusing on enhancing the student experience through customer-centric design, digital connectivity, and innovative engagement strategies. This role involves leading IT system modernisation initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and managing project execution. The position requires a strategic leader and subject matter expert in IT system modernisation.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in IT systems modernisation and migration
• Comprehensive knowledge of IT systems relevant to tertiary education and university settings
• Demonstrated leadership, project management, and stakeholder engagement abilities
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification preferred
• Solid RDBMS experience on Sybase and Microsoft SQL Server
• Proven ability to turn strategic vision into practical plans and measurable results
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
