Truck Service Technician 3 - HOLT Truck Centers

Diagnoses, repairs, reconditions, and adjusts key systems and components of trucks and related equipment. Senior-level position requiring more than six years of experience and/or demonstrated job relevant knowledge/skills.

Requirements

• Model and promote HOLT's Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools and processes
• Troubleshoot and diagnose complex engine malfunctions and failures
• Perform detailed engine and related equipment repairs on trucks and trailers
• Provide quality control/assurance inspections of completed tasks
• Use computers and related software to assist in diagnosing and reprogramming engines
• Complete documentation for service reports, timecards, parts requisition and returns
• Interpret and utilize information from operating, maintenance, online resources, and service manuals/bulletins
• Operate equipment and vehicles with possession of all necessary licenses and certificates
• Maintain all company equipment, tools, and vehicle in a good, clean, and working order
• Communicate job progress to supervisor and customer as needed
• Work overtime as required by workload and customers' needs
• Project professionalism with both internal and external customers, including personal appearance
• Act as a mentor and coach to lower level Technicians
• Complete all assigned Technician Training Path courses and safety training
• Consistently maintain an average rework of less than 0.5%
• Ensure a positive average variance consistently
• Work safely at all times and adhere to all applicable safety policies; comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards
• Perform other duties as assigned
