Senior Software Engineer position at Homebase, building scalable systems and elevating the developer experience. Must have 5+ years of experience in Software Development or related fields, with proficiency in Infrastructure as Code and modern CI/CD systems.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Software Development, Infrastructure Engineering, or related fields
- 3+ years of experience with AWS or other cloud platforms in production environments
- Proven ability to lead complex technical initiatives and deliver outcomes across ambiguous or undefined problem spaces
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred) and modern CI/CD systems
- Experience with Ruby or willingness to learn, with Golang and/or Python experience as a plus
- Strong understanding of containerized systems and distributed architectures
- Demonstrated impact improving developer experience and internal tooling at scale
- Strong expertise in observability, reliability, and incident response practices
- Experience serving as a technical leader in on-call rotations, handling incidents and guiding resolution
- Experience mentoring engineers and collaborating closely with junior team members on projects you lead
- AI fluency: ability to identify opportunities to leverage automation and intelligence to improve developer workflows
