Job Description
The Engagement Specialist will create a positive environment for tenants, build relationships, and assist with supportive services.
Requirements
- Bachelors’ degree in social services, behavioral services, or related experience
- Strong people skills and ability to deescalate difficult situations
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Basic understanding of homelessness and various characteristics of homeless; experience with mental illness and/or chemical dependency preferred
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with individuals with diverse backgrounds
- Commitment to the philosophy of cooperation and continuity across programs and of consideration and respect for clients
- Proficiency in email communication and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently while paying attention to detail
