Job Description
HoneyBook is a leading AI-powered business management platform for service-based business owners, designed to help businesses grow with confidence. They are seeking a Staff Application Security Engineer to join their IT and Security team, focusing on building and maintaining secure software, identifying vulnerabilities, and promoting security culture. The role involves collaboration with engineering teams and various security tools.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Application Security, Product Security, or Secure Software Development.
- Proven experience with modern web application stacks, cloud-native architectures, APIs, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of application security principles, common vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10), and secure coding best practices.
- Experience with security tools like Burp Suite, Oligo, VeraCode, SonarQube, or similar.
- Hands-on experience with code review and static analysis for security issues.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and infrastructure-as-code security.
- Excellent communication skills.
