The role of the Company Driver β Non-CDL is a driver operating vehicles which are less than 26,000 lbs, providing superior service to customers and safely packing and transporting their valuables.
Requirements
- Assist with packing, wrapping and loading household goods or other commodities.
- Ensure customer belongs are secured and ready for transportation to their new destination.
- Lifts and moves heavy packages and other equipment.
- Driving to and from delivery destinations.
- Keeping driving records (i.e. mileage and gas receipts).
- Must observe and obey speed limits and all road signs.
- Responsible for performing simple vehicle maintenance (i.e. taking vehicle for inspections, filling tires with air, etc.).
- Informs supervisor of any vehicle problems.
- Pleasantly interacts with customers to obtain payment, signatures, and giving receipts.
- Maintain assigned vehicle(s) clean inside and outside.
- Fuel the assigned vehicle(s).
- Must inventory household goods and other commodities identified for transport.
- Comply with all DOT HOS and guidelines for distances over 100 miles guidelines.
- Comply with Interstate DOT HOS and guidelines when delivering shipments marked as interstate.
- Participates in and completes all training as required.
- Practices and reinforces superior customer service skills by providing courteous and efficient service to all customers.
- Performs vehicle and trailer inspections as required.
- Completes all necessary logs, electronically and manually, as needed, and submits to appropriate management by required timeframes.
- Maintain and contribute to a safe work environment by adhering to policies and procedures as outlined in the Company Safety Program.
- Perform any other task or assignment as deemed necessary by the organization.
