Senior Software Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer at HostPapa, you will build and evolve the CloudBlue platform, a microservices-based SaaS solution, using AI-assisted development and automation. You will work in a remote-first engineering team and be responsible for driving AI adoption within the team, building backend services and APIs in Python, and collaborating with Product Managers and other teams to deliver measurable business value.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and backend service development
• Proven experience helping teams adopt new engineering practices, particularly related to AI-driven development
• Strong experience designing, building, and integrating APIs
• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL and relational databases
• Working knowledge of Docker and Docker Compose
• Experience with unit and end-to-end testing
• Experience with Django, DRF, or FastAPI
• Frontend experience with Vue or React
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and basic infrastructure concepts
• Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Fluent in English, with strong communication skills
