Summer Portals - Per Diem Registered Nurse

The Registered Nurse identifies and treats health disorders among Summer Portals students and provides education and guidance in the maintenance of good health and disease prevention.

Requirements

• Valid, current Registered Nurse license in the State of Connecticut.
• Current certification in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation and AED from a recognized provider.
• Possess a high level of personal and professional integrity.
• Possess the ability to effectively communicate with strong interpersonal skills.
• Possess the ability to maintain proper record-keeping and care plan management.
• Possess knowledge of current health issues and nursing assessment skills as they relate to adolescent children, both physical and emotional.
• Must be able to exercise excellent judgment, maintain confidentiality, and possess strong organizational skills;
• Possess strong ability to prioritize, effectively managing diverse tasks in a self-directed manner, sometimes in a stressful environment.
