Job Description
The Security Technician is responsible for performing skilled technical work in the installation, maintenance, repair, modification, and testing of access control, closed circuit television (CCTV), and security systems hardware and software.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required, Associates Degree in Internet Technologies is preferred
- 2 years’ experience installing, testing and troubleshooting cable, phone and internet or smart home systems
- Basic understanding of IPV4 and how to assign a computer an IP address
- Fire Alarm Systems Agent (FASA)/Burglar Alarm Systems Agent (BASA) certified
- 1-year experience in installation of security systems, camera and low voltage systems
- Proficiency using small hand tools and larger power tools
- Active and clean, non-restrictive, state issued driver’s license in State where hired
- Comfortable working on a ladder and all heights
- Ability to work days, weekends, evenings and holidays and participate with on-call rotation as needed
