The Asset Manager is responsible for the strategic oversight and operational performance of the Housing Authority of the City of Fort Myers’ real estate portfolio, including Public Housing related subsidies, LIHTC (Section 42), Project-Based Voucher (PBV), Workforce, and Market-Rate housing. The position requires extensive knowledge and experience with HUD regulations, Tax Credits and Compliance.
Requirements
- 2 years of college or 5 years related property management experience
- 5 years of experience with real estate, accounting, finance, or construction management with relevant affordable housing industry experience and/or certification
- LIHTC Certification (HCCP, SCHM, TCS) within the last 2 years or ability to obtain within six months of employment
- Working knowledge of Section 42 Tax Credits and Project Based Section 8 Management
- Comfortable navigating and analyzing transaction legal documents, financial projections and financial reporting
- Ability to discuss critical paths, complex scheduling and related matters with internal and external partners
- Strong Excel modeling skills with working knowledge of Smartsheets, Yardi, AIM and/or Realpage
- Collaborative team player with a strong work ethic
- Property Management course (CAM) a plus
- Brokers license preferred
- Must have experience as a multi-site supervisor
- Fully understanding property management and its financial aspects
- English required; Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred
- Ability to work nights, weekends or non-regular hours
- Knowledge of Housing Software Platforms required
