Houston First Corporation (HFC) is the official Destination Management Organization (DMO) for Houston, responsible for managing convention centers, parks, events, and parking. As the City of Houston’s agent for hotel occupancy tax revenue, HFC promotes tourism and enhances the visitor experience while generating economic benefits through collaborative efforts with partners.
Job Description
The program immerses participants in the vibrant heart of Houston’s hospitality, convention, and tourism industries, providing opportunities for personal and career development, and building skills like problem-solving, teamwork, and guest service.
Requirements
- Be currently enrolled and taking classes at an accredited college, university, or higher education program OR have graduated from an accredited college, university, or higher education program within 24 months of the application posting date
- Have completed at least one semester at an accredited college, university, or higher education program by the time of the program start date
- Pass a background check and drug screening before starting to work
- Be at least 18 years of age at the time of application
- Accept Houston First appearance guidelines
- Possess unrestricted US work authorization for the duration of the program
