Supports the work of the Special Education Director 1 (Region 4 RDSPD) assigned to campuses with the provision of special education services in accordance with local, state and federal laws.
Requirements
- Provides technical assistance for Special Education and/or related services for the assigned campuses.
- Regularly provides process and technical support to itinerant and campus-based personnel responsible for and associated with special education and/or related services.
- Monitors the collection and analysis of student data to evaluate the effectiveness of instructional materials and implementation.
- Designs and implements ongoing orientation and professional development for new and existing itinerant and campus-based instructional professionals.
- Provides day-to-day technical oversight and guidance to Special Education personnel including itinerant teachers, audiologists, teaching assistants, teachers of the deaf in the IEP implementation and evaluation of special education and/or related services.
- Provides facilitation and support for contentious ARDs.
- Provides instructional support to campuses to implement IEPs.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
