Teaching Assistant-10M

Performs instructional duties and delivers direct services to students or parents under the supervision of a teacher or other professional. Assists with test administration and provides specialized assistance for students with special needs.

Requirements

• Educational Aide certificate as established by the State Board for Educator Certification.
• Completion of at least two years of study at an institution of higher education (defined as completion of 48 semester hours) of college course work.
• Possession of an associate's (or higher) degree
• Rigorous standard of quality and ability to demonstrate knowledge of and ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics through a local academic assessment—Texas Higher Education Assessment (THEA)
• Ability to carry and/or lift less than 15 pounds
