Job Description
The Perinatal Sonographer participates in the care of the patient, under the direct supervision of the Physician and in collaboration with the healthcare team by performing various fetal examinations, assisting in invasive procedures, reporting results of sonographic examinations, and ensuring patient safety and comfort during ultrasound procedures.
Requirements
- Successful completion of an approved curriculum in diagnostic medical sonography or equivalent educational background
- Current registration (or Registry-eligible) by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Prefer one-year prior OB experience or recent internship in obstetrics or MFM clinic
- Basic Life Support and CPR certification are preferred
- Nuchal translucency certification through NTQR or Fetal Maternal Foundation
