Job Description
The Social Media Coordinator creates and posts engaging social media content for the Howard University Institute for Advanced Study (HIAS), promoting its mission and work across various programmatic areas. The ideal candidate will share a commitment to the mission of HIAS, possess strong social media production skills, and be able to identify newsworthy events and stories. This is a one-year grant-funded position with the possibility of renewal.
Requirements
- Create and post regular content
- Attend and create content for public events
- Pitch timely, relevant, mission-aligned content
- Collaborate with research team and The Emancipator team
- Maintain a collegial and professional working environment
