Assistant Underwriter

Howden is a global insurance group looking for a Property Assistant Underwriter to join their team in Maidstone. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and responding to the needs of clients, ensuring excellent service delivery. As a Property Underwriter, you will be responsible for underwriting within the confines of the delegated authority and undertaking negotiations for risks that have been “flagged” for review.

Requirements

• Currently working as a Household/ Private Client Underwriter or an Assistant Underwriter
• Excellent attention to detail and decision-making skills
• Ability to communicate effectively and translate complex subjects into understandable actions
• Passion for delivering an excellent client experience
• Highly organised and able to manage time effectively
• Ability to plan workload to meet business priorities and timescales
