Job Description
The General Manager (Industrial Distribution Group) is responsible for driving business growth and development, simplifying and optimizing operations, and championing continuous improvement. They will lead the IDG Distribution organization, manage demand plans, and ensure the quality of all products shipped. Additionally, they will coordinate various customer and internal presentations, act as the business process owner for demand management, order management, and distribution systems, and promote and deploy lean techniques and thinking.
Requirements
- Direct the IDG Distribution organization
- Manage demand plans across all customer bases
- Ensure the quality of all products shipped are in accordance with product standards and customer expectations
- Manage the Inside Sales Department for Waco and Kingston
- Document, implement, and train direct reports in Customer Service and inquiry handling
- Identify and implement innovations to improve customer experience and sales win rates
- Establish, measure, and analyze key performance indicators (KPI) for the IDG organization
- Promote and deploy lean techniques and thinking
- Coordination of various customer and internal presentations
- Acts as the business process owner for demand management, order management and distribution systems
