Senior Linux Engineer (Red Hat, OpenShift & UNIX)

Senior Linux Engineer role with HPE, supporting and operating enterprise Linux and container platforms, with a strong focus on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), OpenShift, and UNIX environments.

Requirements

• Operate and support RHEL, OpenShift, and UNIX platforms in production environments
• Provide day‐to‐day operational support to customers and internal teams
• Build, configure, and maintain Linux and OpenShift platforms to standard
• Automate system provisioning, configuration, and operational tasks using Ansible, shell scripting, or Python
• Support OpenShift clusters, including upgrades, scaling, networking, and security
• Monitor and troubleshoot Linux and OpenShift platforms, performing root cause analysis
• Implement and maintain security controls, access management, and compliance standards
• Support patching, lifecycle management, and platform upgrades
• Work with DevOps and application teams to support containerised workloads
• Contribute to platform documentation, standards, and operational runbooks
• Participate in a rotating 24/7 on-call roster
