Storage Engineering Manager

Storage Engineering Manager role at Hewlett Packard Enterprise responsible for leading a team of software engineers on filesystem/storage engineering, developing and hardening software used in high-performance computing environments. The role involves owning technical execution for releases, driving architecture, design reviews, and technical decision-making for filesystem features, integrations, and operational tooling. The team is responsible for customer-facing engineering outcomes, including acceptance readiness, performance tuning, and rapid response to field escalations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years leading teams as a people manager or technical lead
• Demonstrated experience with HPC storage or parallel/distributed filesystems, and an understanding of storage/network performance fundamentals
• Experience driving software quality: CI/testing strategies, release management, defect triage, and operational excellence for production environments
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to align stakeholders and clearly articulate risks, timelines, and tradeoffs
