Wallace is seeking a Senior Accountant to play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of our financial operations. This role is designed for a seasoned accounting professional who thrives in complex work, exercises sound judgment, and enjoys partnering across teams in a nonprofit healthcare environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 4 - 6+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Solid knowledge of GAAP and accrual-based accounting
- Experience with grant accounting, nonprofit, and/or healthcare environments preferred
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas)
- Experience with accounting software (Sage Intacct or Sage 100 preferred) and payroll systems (ADP preferred)
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
