Medical Coder (CPC, CIC, CCS, CPC-A)

We are looking for a detail-oriented and certified Medical Coder to join our healthcare operations team. The ideal candidate will accurately review, analyze, and assign the appropriate medical codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services rendered in various healthcare settings.

Requirements

• Review medical records, physician documentation, and clinical notes to assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes in accordance with official coding guidelines.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of coded data for Emergency Department (ED), Same Day Surgery (SDS), Inpatient, and Outpatient encounters.
• Verify codes for diagnoses and procedures to ensure proper billing and insurance claims processing.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, organizational policies, and current coding standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to clarify documentation when necessary.
• Participate in ongoing coding audits, quality reviews, and training sessions to maintain high accuracy rates.
• Keep abreast of updates to coding manuals, payer policies, and medical terminology.
