Co-op Researcher

Huawei Canada has an immediate co-op opening for a Researcher in the Central Media Technology Institute's Graphics Technology Lab. The Researcher will conduct advanced research and engineering on graphics domain, transfer research results to solve real-world problems, and provide expert opinions on relevant fields.

Requirements

• M.S. or Ph.D. student in computer science or related fields with a focus on computer graphics, computer vision or machine learning
• Solid background in machine learning and deep learning, e.g., DNN, GAN, ViT, and Diffusion techniques
• Experienced in dense estimation including but not limited to: SVBRDF, super-resolution, inpainting, neural rendering, etc.
• Experienced in Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc. and a track record of translating ideas into research prototypes quickly
• Published Papers at relevant conferences or Journals such as SIGGRAPH, SIGGRAPH ASIAN, Eurographics, TOG, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, TPAMI, etc. is an asset
• Experience in building large scale machine learning solutions for general computer vision/graphics topics including model design, data collection/augmentation, evaluation, etc. is an asset

• Target annual compensation (based on 2080 hours per year) ranges from $88,000 to $104,000 depending on education, experience and demonstrated expertise
