Intern Strategic Researcher - LLM

Huawei Canada has an immediate 12-month internship opening for a Strategic Researcher to participate in academic conferences, research next-generation emerging technologies, and promote innovations with substantive potential.

Requirements

• Doctoral candidate in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Strong awareness of research trends within academia.
• Publications at conferences such as NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, AAAI, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ACL, CoLM, CoLLAs, RLC, RLDM, CoRL, ICRA, IROS, RSS, etc.
• Research focus and up-to-date expertise in one or more of the following areas: Computer vision, multimodal generative AI and multimodal foundation model, NLP, LLM, and LLM-based AI assistants and agents, Embodied intelligence, spatial intelligence, and robotics, Fundamental deep learning and reinforcement learning methods, architectures, and algorithms.
• Experience in building large scale machine learning solutions or real-world products is an asset.
• Good teamwork spirit and excellent communication skills.
• Demonstrate creative thinking.
• Responsible, proactive, and passionate about solving challenging problems.
