The Electrical Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of LV and MV electrical systems up to 4.6 kV used in casting and forging plant operations.
Requirements
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot LV/MV electrical systems up to 4.6 kV
- Carry out maintenance on power transformers, HT/LT switchgear panels, MCCs, and distribution boards
- Diagnose and rectify faults in electrical circuits, panels, and power systems
- Maintain electric motors (induction and servo motors)
- Troubleshoot and maintain VFDs and motor control systems
- Maintain induction furnace power supply systems and heating furnace electrical systems
- Monitor electrical parameters to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Assist in maintenance and troubleshooting of PLC systems and control panels
- Perform checks on control wiring, interlocks, sensors, and relays
- Coordinate with instrumentation and automation teams when required
- Install and maintain cable trays, power cables, and control cables
- Ensure proper termination, labeling, and routing of electrical cables
- Maintain earthing and lightning protection systems as per safety standards
- Maintain DG sets, UPS systems, and battery banks
- Perform routine checks, load tests, and battery maintenance
- Ensure emergency power availability during outages
- Follow all electrical safety procedures, lockout/tagout practices, and HSE guidelines
