The Plumber will be responsible for the operation, replacement, repair and maintenance of domestic hot and cold water systems, sanitary drainage systems, pumps and fixtures in a Correctional Environment.
Requirements
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools and other methods pertaining to the installation of copper, carbon steel, cast iron.
- Experience in soldering, brazing, pro press, pipe threading, pipe grooving and various other piping methods used in a Commercial/Industrial Environment.
- Proficient in Commercial drain cleaning and service.
- Directs Trade Helper assigned to plumber.
- Basic literacy and the strength and dexterity required to perform heavy lifting tasks.
- High School Diplomas, GED or Trade School
- Minimum (3) three years experience in the plumbing trades
- Licensed at the Journeyman level in the City of Philadelphia
- Must provide own basic hand tools and test equipment
- Capable of reading blueprints, drawings and layouts
- Must be able to read and speak English clearly
- Valid Driver's license
- Able to climb ladders and walk long distances.
- Able to pass Background Investigation without Criminal history.
- Must be able to pass Pre-employment Drug Screening and Random Drug Testing.
- Must be able to work overtime when required.
- Must be able to work in all climate conditions.
- Will be working in a Correctional environment, which is a 24/7 operation. Shifts to be assigned
